Indeed the happy human had no idea just how much of a natural she will be at.... Well, being small, defenseless and sweet inside the warm belly of a gentle hungry demon, her gentle hungry demon to be exact. At least she wouldn't have to try too hard at what she had to do. Lilly smiled wider at his kind words, even if she was unaware fully what they meant they still felt nice to hear. "Aww.... You're a kind man, you know that mister Nathan? Has anyone told you that before? Because they should have. " It took all she had in her to keep from melting into a bashful, blushing puddle so to speak and cut off what she was saying to him, but she was proud of herself she got to say it fully before she was blushing and looking down again. She was glad he was such a giant doofus though, that's what made him so sweet and easy to like to Lilly. She wasn't sure what he was thinking that had him chuckling, but it didn't matter as long as they both were happy. "Oh.... Why yes that does sound nice, m-maybe I could finish my dr-drawing that I was working on.... If it wouldn't be too boring for you... Um... " She didn't know many places that were out of the way and due to her short stature she couldn't see anything past anyone that walked by, which made her look back to him with a semi pitiful look. "You d-don't happen to see a nice spot to relax at up there, do you? " She asked him hopefully.

Nathan froze up a bit as he began to blush at Lilly's kind words. A bashful smile was soon to follow and he looked away shyly as he tried to hide his expression by bringing his knuckles up to his lips. "Ah, I've gotten that a few times, actually, but it's... always nice to hear it confirmed from others, to be honest," he almost struggled to say. Nathan had no issues dishing compliments out, but once they were dished out at him in return, it was game over. His smooth facade melted away and now the tall man suddenly felt small and vulnerable- but not in a bad way! God, this human was winning over so fast it surprised even him. She was just... so sweet. How could someone this sweet end up at a convention like this? He cleared his throat and sobered back up, though a hint of blush still lingered on his pale cheeks as he cleared his throat.
"It wouldn't bore me at all! I think I saw some benches or tables over this way, though," he said, motioning for Lilly to follow before leading her off toward a less crowded portion of the convention center. On their way over, he glanced around for a clock or anything to check the time with, wanting to be sure of just how much more time they had left before things started to even more lively.

Lilly couod barely handle giving or receiving complements, mainly because both ways she had a hard time coming up with the right words to say that didn't sound totally silly. But by now she could tell they were similar in a way that they didn't handle complements well and that similarity made her feel more comfortable around him. Eventually she found it in herself to look back to him to see the soft pink that still stained his cheeks, making her smile wider as she listened to what he had to say about a place to be. Lilly quickly picked up her sketchbook and nodded, happily following Nathan to the benches or tables. "Right behind you! " She cheered as they made their way there. Nathan would be able to spot a clock indeed and it showed that the main event was starting somewhat soon, only twenty minutes left.

Nathan felt his stomach do a flip once he saw how much time was left and gulped silently. Just twenty more minutes and he could safely tuck Lilly away where no one could hurt her, and his stomach would finally stop silently grumbling and churning in a petulant fit for food. For now though, they would sit and spend time together at the tables, which Nathan had finally located. "Ah, over here!" He says before leading her over to a small cluster of tables. Some had patrons already sitting at them, talking casually to one another or nibbling away at snacks, but for the most part there was a surprisingly small amount of people sitting there. He picks one of the tables out and sits after pulling a seat out for Lilly.
"If you'd rather sit elsewhere, feel free to speak up, miss Lilly" he says with a smile.

Of course little Lilly had no idea that Nathan was hungry or hadn't eaten in a while, otherwise she probably would've suggested they went to eat. But she was fine and he didn't say anything about being hungry so that didn't even enter her mind. She did let her mind wander to guessing what the main event was going to be about as she allowed Nathan to lead her. Of course none of her guesses came even remotely close to what it was really, but it kept her mind busy. She was thinking about things like a teamwork challenge or even a dance, but stopped all of her ideas when he spoke again and she saw the seats and tables. Lilly would be happy to get off her feet too since she'd been walking for a while, so it was a nice sight to see "Oh thank you Nathan, this looks nice and quiet. " She said softly to him to mind the few others here. Lilly placed her sketchbook out onto the table along with her main pencil before sitting down.
She sat there shyly for a second with both hands on each of her knees. "So.... About that drawing I was doing.... " She trailed off and giggled shyly, covering half her face with one hand. Oh god how was she going to tell him she wondered.... Well, really she didn't, not with words. She made sure not to make eye contact with him as she opened her sketchbook and found the partly done work of Nathan, before she softly slid the paper towards him for him to see, then quickly covering the rest of her face as she listened to what his reaction may be.

Nathan smiled at Lilly's comment on how nice and quiet the area seemed, a little proud of himself for remembering this spot even existed. He politely watched her settle down on the seat and set her sketchbook down, and then.. she opened it. He leaned over a bit curiously as she slid the page over to him, trying to play it off like he hadn't seen the drawing before, though her reactions were enough to cause his attention to stray onto her momentarily. He grinned and chuckled at how shy she got before turning attention back to the drawing.
"Oh wow, you were drawing me this whole time?" he asked in surprise. He carefully took the sketchbook into his hands for a better look, now that he could finally do so, taking in each detail. "This is really good, Lilly! I can tell it's unfinished, but still, you've really captured my likeness!" he grins at her before carefully setting the sketchbook back down near her end of the table. "Any reason you picked me out of such a diverse crowd?" he asked curiously. It was probably quite a silly question now that he thought about it. He probably sticks out like a sore thumb, even among the monster costumes, simply because of his height.

She heard his chuckling first and it made her make a small little embarrassed whine, knowing she must indeed look silly now if she didn't before. But she couldn't help it! Then he spoke, asking if she had been drawing him this whole time and she replied with a nod and a confirming sound, still covering her face as she hoped she didn't get anything wrong on him even half done. It was music to her ears though when he sounded so pleased, saying that she had captured his likeness in the few short minutes of watching him before they met. "R-really? " She asked while parting her fingers a little to see his face, sounding more shy and smaller then she ever had around him. But he did truly looked pleased and it relaxed her nerves some to see.
She delicately pulled the sketchbook back towards herself once he gave it back, turning it around so she could see it with one hand still on her face. "W-well.... You were one of the only guys not wearing a costume..... A-and I liked your vest. And you're tall, l-like huge tall. " She told him honestly of the three factors that made her pick him, not holding back on empathizing on the tall part as she giggled and lowered both hands. "S-since you like it that much.... Want me to finish it here? " She asked while reaching into her pocket to pull out a small handheld bag of colored pencils, looking back to him sweetly.

"Of course!" Nathan said in response to her first small question. "You're very good at what you do, to be honest, if this drawing is anything to go by. You should be proud of yourself." He smiled sweetly and tried not to chuckle again at her continuing to hide her face. He really couldn't handle how cute she was. And then he grinned.
"Ah, that's true, isn't it? You know, speaking of the costumes, I completely forgot that we were supposed to wear them. I don't know if I coukd have made something clever even if I did, though.. but, ah, yes! I would be delighted if you continued!" He rested an elbow on the table and propped his head up on his head. "Should I pose myself for you?"

Lilly did feel proud to hear that, he was a kind man and said nice things to her ever since they met, sure, but she felt his words were both genuine and true in a non professional way, which she didn't mind that part. "Thank you.... it did come out pretty well so far, didn't it? " The question was mainly towards herself as she observed her work, before looking to him to compare. Of course she didn't realize how adorable she was coming off to be, but again she couldn't help it, she was a shy little human who probably oozed cuteness.
When he admitted he forgot the costumes, she giggled again and smiled, a funny idea coming to mind. "You don't need a costume though, you could've came here as a giant! " She spread her arms apart teasingly for a brief moment. In her mind giants usually counted as monsters, but not all monsters were bad in her eyes. Of course the monsters she believed in were in stories, movies and games, she didn't believe in REAL monsters. She quickly shook her head to his question about posing. "Oh no no, just be natural! " She said before she grabbed some pencils from the table that she laid out and started to go to work.

Nathan chuckled softly. "I suppose I could make a pretty convincing giant, huh? Especially standing next to you." He chuckled again, a little louder this time, though not in a mean way. "And alright, I'll be sure to be natural, then." He stayed in his current pose, just wanting to relax for the moment. "Are you one of those artists who can't talk while drawing? I know some have a hard time holding conversations while drawing at the same time, so I just want to be sure before I end up talking your ear off on accident."

Lilly giggled to that as well when he said he'd make a convincing giant, especially next to little ol her. "Yes you would! I hope you're not like the giant in Jack and the Beanstalk though, I want my bones right where they are. " She told him jokingly, giggling more with his chuckling. She then looked a him to see what color his eyes truly were, then grabhed the right pencil to color it in. "Oh no I can talk some, I may have to stop if you ask me something I need to think about, but I can multi task to a point. What do you want to talk about? " She asked as she was now sketching out his long, lanky legs.

"Well, if I were a real giant, I can guarantee that I wouldn't even dream of hurting even a single hair on you," he replied with a grin. "I mostly just wanted to make sure I wouldn't interrupt or bother you, but... since this is a convention about monsters, I take it you have an interest in them, unless I'm mistaken. What are some of your favourites?" he asks curiously. He was genuinely curious, but also couldn't help but want to gauge her possible reaction to his true form.

Lilly blushed between sketch lines as he took her joke as another chance to say something sweet. He was good at that and it made her all gushy inside. "Aww.... I bet you would be the sweetest giant ever, you already are~ " she said bashfully back, gazing at him for a few moments before working on his shoes. But she did perk up to his question and stopped drawing for a moment or two to think. "Well I always liked werewolves, they have to be my favorite, I just wish media would have more friendly ones. And I mean the big fluffy ones with tails, but not just a giant wolf. Dragons are cool but they are not my favorite.... I like shapeshifters, monsters that can appear human but are something on the inside, which I guess are werewolves but any true form I guess you could call it is interesting. Monsters with too many legs kind of scare me, but there usually isn't many of those.... I like griffons too, those are cute and awesome. What about you? " She asked curuoisly, tilting her head for a second before she started coloring in his face and the rest of his shirt.

Nathan grinned and chuckled at her compliment, the blush returning to his cheeks. "Well thank you, I certainly try my best~"
"Ah, yeah, I can understand that. A lot of media seems pretty saturated with, er, hostile monsters. I wouldn't mind more soft-hearted monsters in the least, myself," he responded. He froze up a bit when the voiced her opinion of monsters with too many legs, though. Ah... Well, hopefully once he reveals himself it won't be too scary for her. Or, he hoped so at least. At least she seemed to like the basic concept behind him, even if he wasn't exactly fluffy. Still, he managed a smile. "You have good tastes in monsters, miss Lilly. As for me, well... I personally love bugs, so any bug-like monster get a high grade in my book. But, admittedly, I have a bit of a soft spot for merfolk." He paused and seemed to let out a bit of a dreamy sigh. "They're such beautiful but frightening being, much like the oceans they live in."

Lilly was happy he agreed with the idea of soft hearted monsters, which made her eyes light up some. "Oh yes, I think that would be awesome if they had more friendly monsters, even the ones with too many legs... " She did give a little shudder, the girl having a instinctual fear of creepy bugs known to bite in general. "Unless it's a giant caterpillar, those are cute, especially the fuzzy orange and black ones. " She said happily with a dreamy look herself. When he spoke of bugs she giggled and shook her head. "Well, the bug monsters need love from someone. " She said as she colored, multi tasking semi well. Indeed she would like the shapeshifting part, but the many of legs may still scare her, though it wouldn't just be any monster with too many legs, it would be Nathan. Only time will tell if their bond would be strong enough to overule his lack of fluff. "I like mermaids too, but I can't swim so.... If they were real I could never see one. "
Soon Lilly was done with the drawing though and held it up to show him. "What do you think? " She asked with a grin. It was a simple pose of him standing with a smile on his face, his legs long and lanky while making sure to have a little thickness to his arms. The colors were pretty close to right on too. Lilly then just happened to curiously look at a clock hanging on the wall. "Say, when does this main event thing start anyway? Do you know? " She asked him curiously.
