((If I'm doing anything wrong, please tell me! I looked around on the site and such to make sure I could do this, but still x~x ))
Like many of the other monsters in attendance, the demon was disguised almost masterfully as an assuming- if not towering- human and was now wandering about the convention filled with curiosity. He was already seeing many women wandering around and taking interest in the many booths some of the other boys had set up and some budding conversations. It seemed things were going quite well already, as far as he saw at least, and he was eager to see how things would go once the time had finally come for everyone to shed their disguises. Unfortunately, he didn't know anyone here, even in the slightest, so for the most part he just wandered and observed, too reluctant to get involved in the affairs of others.
However, his self-imposed task of being an observer was about to come to an abrupt end as he had become so engrossed in his surroundings that he failed to notice that he was on a collision course with one of the convention's lovely lady guests! Fortunately, he managed to catch himself before bowling her over, but it was still a heavily close call on his end.
"aH- heavens!" He came to an abrupt halt, arms outstretched dramatically to catch his balance as he now stood on his tiptoes to try and prevent himself from completely falling over the tiny woman before him.

(You did fine, don't worry about it! As for numbers I believe as long as the number isn't taken by someone else, we can have said number. )
Lilly had closed her booth for now, she had been wanting to spend her time for herself. She was still yet to be able to draw someone that caught her eye, but while most monsters, unknown to her, here just costumed up to look like fake monsters, the demon who looked so normal caught her eye. She stopped where she was standing and quickly started sketching his features, but she had mistakeningly assumed he wouldn't come this way so as she looked back to make sure she had the rough sketch, she was met with a eyefull of purplish fabric. The young girl gave a surprised squeak and jumped back as the massive man stood on his toes, making him seem even bigger to the small female. She ended up dropping her drawing pencil as she looked up at him shyly, blinking in awe at how high she had to look. "Oh wow.... " She breathed, giggling in uncertainty.
She wanted to reach out and help him balance, but she couldn't make her legs move forward again, he was just so tall! His legs alone were probably twice as long maybe longer then her's. Heck they were probably almost as long as her whole body was. All she could hope was he didn't fall on her, because that would probably hurt. "I-I'm sorry sir, are you okay? " She asked with big, worried eyes.n

((Okey dokes! I will check around the site once more before settling ona number, then ;v; ))
Nathan righted himself and stood properly once again, glad to have avoided such a potentially awful spill. He gave himself a moment to process what had just happened properly before a hearty, if not slightly awkward, chuckle escaped him after a relieved sigh. "I'm fine, don't worry, but I am so sorry, miss, I didn't even see you until the last moment!" He took a step back to give her more space, not wanting to make her uncomfortable (or strain her neck for that matter), before kneeling down to pick her pencil up for her and hand it back to her. "I hope you're alright, too?" he asks with a a pleasant smile and an equally concerned look in his eyes.

(Okay then, sounds fair! )
Lilly watched and listened to the man as he righted himself and recovered from the incident. "Oh it's okay, I imagine you're not always looking so far down and I should've been watching better too.... Thank you for not squishing me though! " She told him in a chipper tone with a slight blush. She saw him take a step back and relaxed a bit more, telling herself tall doesn't always mean scary or dangerous. She blushed more shyly and softly took the pencil that he so kindly picked up for her. "Thank you, I was d-drawing... Um.... Before we almost ran into each other.... S-should've been paying more attention on my part. " She hid her drawing of him behind her back, hoping he couldn't see over her with their distance between each other. "Yeah I'm okay, just a little startle is all..... I hope you don't mind me saying, but I never met someone so... Tall." She carefully said, clearly trying not to offend him.

"It's my fault too, I was paying too much attention to everything around me, and not enough to everything ahead of me," he assured before standing upright again. At her comment on his height, he grinned. "Oh, not at all, I get that pretty often to be honest. And... you said you were drawing?" he asks, a curious spark lighting up his eyes. He would have pried more, but it was then that he realized she was now holding said drawing behind her back. Clearly, she was feeling a bit too shy to share at the moment, so instead he offered to ask about something else drawing-related. "That's wonderful! You must be really skilled if you can draw and walk at the same time. What sort of things do you usually like to draw?"

Lilly giggled some again as he admitted he was at fault too. "Well the important thing is no one got hurt.... And yes, t-that's indeed what I said... " Her shyness was showing again as she looked down at her feet briefly. This was the first time a subject of her drawing came up to her so it was hard to handle. She had missed the spark in his eyes but she heard it in his voice, but she shouldn't muster the bravery to show him. What if he didn't like it or got upset? She couldn't handle that at all. "I do spend a lot of time drawing..... Um, well I am mostly good at people and some basic animals, like cats and dogs and horses. " She told him, looking back up at his face.

Nathan had been politely listening as she replied, taking note of her increased shyness. Not sure of where it was coming from, he tried to at least make sure she wouldn't get discouraged and smiled warmly. "That sounds amazing! If you're ever comfortable enough, I would absolutely love to see your work some day, miss..." he trailed off. "Ah, yes, I believe we were both so caught up we forgot to introduce ourselves, hm?" He chuckled rather sheepishly. "I'm Nathan, pleasure to meet you, ma'am," he introduced himself before holding out one of his hands for a gentle handshake.

It wasn't likely the small girl would get discouraged, she was curious about this gentle, tall man, she was worried herself that she'd become boring for him though. When he said so kindly that he'd like to see her work when she felt more comfortable and brave, Lilly smiled wider to this happily. She didn't share her works often, so it would be nice to do so with someone she trusted."T-that sounds very n-nice.... Thank you. " She told him with a happy spark in her eyes. "Oh, my name's Lilly, Lilly Burton. It's nice to meet you too mister Nathan. " She replied politely back, hesitantly slipping her little hand against the palm of his hand, trusting him to be gentle with her tiny hand and arm. He seemed so sweet so far Lilly had a hard time imagining him being mean now. "What brings you to the convention? " She asked curiously.

Nathan gently wrapped his fingers around her comparatively tiny hand and gave it a gentle brief shake before letting go so as not to cause Lilly any possible discomfort. "Lilly is a lovely name," he caught himself saying out loud. He hadn't intended to whip out such forward compliments but, well, it wasn't like he was lying. He did find her name to be very pretty, and he wasn't the type to hold back compliments, even from strangers, so he continued to smile. "Ah, I suppose I was drawn here out of sheer curiosity," he explained in response to her question. Technically, also not a lie! "It takes a bit for me to settle in enough to socialize properly, but I also do enjoy the company of others so.. I figured why not give it a shot? What about you, miss Lilly?"

It wasn't too uncomfortable really, it was just a sight to behold. Her small hand easily engulfed by his during a simple handshake. After he let go she was blushing and gave a brief giggle, looking down and up again. He was so big to her, but so gentle and sweet, it was endearing to her that he took the time and effort to keep her happy and comfortable. She didn't know a person like that really existed, sometimes she'd draw people with large size differences because she liked the idea of it for reasons she didn't understand fully, but she found it sweet having the bigger people being gentle to the little ones.
Her blushing increased to his kind words about her name. "O-oh thank you, y-you have a rather h-handsome name yourself. " She replied bashfully, did she just say handsome? Why did she say that? She looked down shyly, clearly a little embarrassed by her complement back. She tried to get past her embarrassment to answer his question, sheepishly looking back up at him with a soft smile of her own. "Kind of the s-same as you really.... Trying to settle in, m-maybe meet a few fellow a-artists or just f-friendly people in general... "She told him hapily but still with that layer of shyness she couldn't shake.
Suddenly she felt someone brush by her in a simple attempt to walk by, but the smal girl yelped and jumped since she wasn't expecting it while her jump brought her instinctively towards Nathan, but at the same time since her number was already loose from her pocket from almost bumping into Nathan when they met, this jump made it fall loose onto the ground, number up and showing to be 14. "Oh goodness, I'm so s-sorry, I can be so jumpy it's silly. " She admitted as she bent down to pick it up with her free hand, forgetting she was still hidng the drawing behind her back which now from bending over wasn't hidden.

Lilly's own shyness finally seemed to rub off on Nathan once she called his name handsome. It caught him completely off guard, causing his brows to raise before a bashful grin parted his lips, which he quickly tried to hide as best he could. "Oh- well, thank you! I'm glad you think so, miss Lilly," he responded rather softly. He was about to respond to her answer to his question when she jumped, once more catching him off guard. He would have almost jumped too, but then his attention was brought to the slip that dropped out of Lilly's pocket. He noticed the number and a wave of relief almost visibly washed over his face. They shared the same number, and he was glad for that, knowing just what it could have meant for the small human had she shared numbers with anyone else but him. He knew that not every monster in attendance would be as... merciful as he planned to be. That thought was interrupted, however, as he managed to catch a glimpse of the drawing she had been hiding as well.
He hadn't meant to, but still his eyes wandered and he saw the drawing she had started of what appeared to be none other than himself! Or at least, that's the guess he made from his brief glance. "My, you're chock full of surprises, aren't you, miss Lilly?" he found himself asking out loud. Not wanting to alarm her, he quickly reached into one of his pockets and pulled out a slip of paper that also had a number written on it, the same number as Lilly's, and held it out for her to see once she got back up. "We, ah, appear to share the same number!" he said in attempt to hide the fact he had seen her drawing. He felt bad for snooping, as accidental as it was... "Did they tell you what these numbers are for, or has it been left as a surprise for the ladies?"

She didn't see his bashful grin, but she heard his soft voice and it made her heart flutter a little in a happy way. That soft, kind voice speaking down to her was one of the nicest things she ever heard from a stranger she just met and the fact that he sounded a bit shy about her compliment like she had been was even more touching. As she picked up her number she heard his words and frowned some in confusion, surprises?
The drawing wasn't fully done as there was no legs, mainly just his waist up and it was a simple sketch, but his long face and half colored in purplish vest was unmistakable in most cases. She also had a few colored circles on the corner, seeming to be trying to pick the right color for something, perhaps his eyes? Soon she stood up with her number and blinked as she saw the second number 14. That surprised her and she looked down at her's for a second to make sure he didn't get it somehow, but no she had her's. "They do match.... " The young small girl smiled happily up at him to that, wondering what that could mean. Indeed she had no idea how lucky she really was to have matching numbers with this kind demon, how lucky she was to have her fate in his hands when the main event begins. She also had no idea that she saw her drawing of him, assuming his shyness was just natural. "I heard that the n-numbers have something to do with the main event, I assume it hasn't h-happened yet. Why, did they tell you? D-do we get to do something t-t-together? " She asked with a curious, though still shy look in her eyes. The idea that she and Nathan got selected to do something together though gave her that happy fluttering feeling inside. She wasn't sure why they'd leave just the ladies unaware, she hoped it wasn't anything bad then, but the worry didn't last too long.

So it was a drawing of him! Nathan would wait for a better time to compliment her drawing of him, however. He was incredibly flattered, though.
"Indeed, we do get to do something together, but I'm not about to spoil the big surprise if you weren't told~" Nathan said in a half-teasing tone. And what a big[/b] surprise she would be treated to indeed. Very. Very big. "It's nothing bad though, so I wouldn't worry if I were you," he assured. Well, at least it wouldn't end badly for Lilly, though he had a feeling a few of the other ladies would end up okay, too. Surely, he couldn't be the only benevolent monster here. As the thought once more crossed his mind, his thoughts began to wander and he found himself getting more and more eager for the main event to arrive. Lilly was so cute and small, he could just eat her up... literally! especially since he was getting pretty hungry, he skipped out on breakfast that day, so having someone to fill up the empty space in his belly for a while would be nice... at least until he could get her away from the convention and the other hungry monsters. If she wasn't completely terrified of him by then, maybe they could go off and share a proper dinner together. That sounded really nice to him. For now though, he would have to focus on the present and making sure they stayed close for the time being.
"You should make sure your number is visible, though," he then said, not wanting another monster to think she was unmarked and up for grabs. "Do you have a pin or something? I think I saw a little bowl of pins and a tape dispenser somewhere around here we could use, if you don't have anything else."

With any luck she'll gain the bravery to show him sometime too on her own accord, either before or after she finished it especially now with her subject so close. She'd be happy to know that he liked it too and wouldn't be upset to be her drawing victim so to speak since she didn't ask him for permission. It seems to her impolite to ask but also weird to ask.
Lilly giggled and blushed some more from his gentle teasing about not telling her, thankfully she liked surprises so she didn't mind. "Aww fine, be that way. I hope it's not climbing or racing though, I can be clumsy... " She admitted, teasing him back at first before a little embarrassment set in about being clumsy. For the situation she was in that wasn't a good weakness to have when you had hungry monsters looking to devour you. But at least that meant Nathan wouldn't have to chase the small human around the convention. Lilly really believed he was a sweetheart though, so just maybe those feelings will overrule any fear she'd feel once the main event began and she was occupying his belly. Nathan's assurance that it wouldn't be bad and she didn't have to worry strengthened that and she nodded. "Okay, I beleive you. I like big surprises anyway, I hope I do okay in whatever we end up doing. With any luck it will be something we're both good at! "She cheered, letting some of her inner happiness out and letting her shyness around him fade.
To his suggestion she made a curious hum, listening. "Oh yes, they gave me a pin for it, I just hadn't had the chance to do it. Thank you for reminding me. " She said sweetly to him before closing her sketchbook behind her and laying it down by her feet. Lilly then sure enough got a pin from her pocket and used it to pin the number to her dress on her shoulder. "Does that look right? " She asked him while trying to make sure it was straight. Thankfully she didn't seem to question why she had to make it visible.

Nathan chuckled, thoroughly amused by her response, and glad that she didn't seem to take his teasing personally. "Hopefully that's the case, yes! I'm sure whatever it is, you'll probably be a natural at it, though," he assured gently, throwing in a confident wink. That definitely wasn't too far of a stretch in his case, given that human is his natural prey, but... well, it's not like he'd be eating her 'for keeps' so perhaps that was a joke in poor.. taste. He chuckled quietly to himself at his own silent puns like a giant doofus. "In any case, maybe we should move out of the crowd so you don't get startled by someone again, hm? Maybe somewhere nice to sit so you could draw more if you felt like it?" He suggested, remembering there being a bit more space with less crowd around some of the sitting areas. It would probably be best if they were both out of the way once time came for the big reveal, both to avoid potential chaos and... well.... the space will be needed for sure.
