Lucia had been poking around the convention center all afternoon, almost overwhelmed by the sheer amount of activities, shops, and more. There was so much to see! And somehow, she doubted that normal conventions had quite this much to offer. There was even a pool. A pool! If she had just taken the time to read over the website before rushing into things, she could have packed a bathing suit and gone swimming!
One missed opportunity didn't damper her spirits, though. There was plenty else in the way of attractions to keep her attention. She had visited the dance area briefly to admire the other cosplay and costumes, but her left two feet kept her from getting on the dance floor herself. The redhead was in no hurry to make a fool out of herself. And damaging her first ever cosplay costume that she made herself was definitely not on her "to do" list.
Taking a break from the big groups, pictures, and socializing in the crowd, she decided to tour a few of the booths on the north eastern side of the center. Some of the little shops sold things that took the idea of "geekiness" to the next level. Lucia had to chuckle at some of them. Cream for scales? Feather trimming sets? It fit in with the theme, certainly. Maybe they were gag gifts? She was tempted by a few of them, but...
Then she saw the booth that had her name written all over it. The little shop set-up was brightly lit and colored, various trinkets and fake animal ears hanging in suspended lines. The person behind the far end of the booth seemed bored, but she paid their lack of enthusiasm no mind. There were lines of animal-themed apparel and hoodies, fake tails, and other cute things that grabbed her attention immediately. She knew someone from the university anime club was looking to cosplay the cat boy from Dandelion: Wishes For You. What was the character's name... Jizzoo? Jiso? Jisoo? She couldn't remember. But there was a pair of fake black cat ears on a headband that looked like they might be perfect for the cosplay!
The shop's intent seemed to clearly be to attract women and cosplay-fanatics, from the looks of it---and Lucia was drawn right in to the displays. She could spend a good half an hour in this shop alone, if she wasn't careful...

Like Lucia, Finn had spent the afternoon perusing the convention, though with a rather more laid-back pace. And instead of the varied and often quite impressive attractions, his attention had been focused on the other attendees. Specifically, the ladies. And, even more specifically, the numbers stuck to their fronts.
When he had arrived at the convention, he'd been given a slip with a number written on it, which he wasn't supposed to look at. Apparently, this was on the honour system, which had presented him with a bit of a conundrum. Once, when he was a very young fox boy, his parents had told him that if anyone ever extended him that level of trust and he didn't betray it at least a little, his tail would fall off. Though he didn't believe the story (his upbringing had involved a lot of these little fictions), he agreed with the principle: being honest was so thoroughly un-foxy! On the other hand, if the main event started and he knew who his target was while she remained ignorant of who was hunting her, it would be too easy to be fun.
He had solved this puzzle almost as soon as it occured to him, and it may have been the elegance of that solution that explained the wry, self-satisfied smile on his face or the jaunty swish of his supposedly fake tail as he walked.
As a fellow red-head, Lucia stood out enough that, even from some distance away, Finn immediately identified her as a lady whose number he hadn't yet checked. He strolled up next to her, pretending to be interested in whatever tat was on display on the counter. He looked at various plastic animal-parts (no match for the real thing!), then in an opportune moment, stole a glance at her front.
When he spied the familiar number, he had to stifle a toothsome smile as a little thrill of delight shivered through him. He felt like the big bad wolf! Well he-llo there, dinner.
"I think the rabbit ears would suit." He said, instead. It was a rather bold cold opener, notwithstanding the reassuringly amicable smile he delivered it with. But, well, you can't really have fun without being a bit bold, and with his aptitude for sniffing out emotions, Finn found he could usually recover from even the most misjudged comments.

The young woman's inner battle with deciding between two pairs of black cat ears was interrupted suddenly with a voice to her left. Having been drawn deeply into her ridiculous comparison between the fake animal-themed headbands, she was a little startled by the abrupt appearance of another con-goer and fumbled the ears she had been studying in her hands. The fluffy headband flopped to the floor.
"Ack!" she hurriedly ducked down to retrieve it before she righted herself and faced the young man that had suddenly appeared next to her. "H--Hi!"
Smooth, Luci, she chastised herself inwardly, an awkward smile on her lips.
She found herself looking up at a young man with handsome, clean-shaven features. A hood was drawn up over his reddish hair, connecting to what looked like the sort of fox costume someone might buy for a kid on Halloween---though a decidedly adult version. The zipper wasn't even drawn up the whole way, but the ears on the hoodie were cute. It gave him a very youthful look with his pale skin. And even if his overall costume was less than stellar, she wasn't going to judge.
Lucia's mind finally caught up to the fact that he had spoken to her, taking her out of her temporary stupor. She really needed to stop spacing out. "Uh, rabbit ears?" she repeated. Then, she laughed, reaching up to tuck a stray lock of her wavy red hair behind her ear and the tasseled earrings she wore. "Oh, I wasn't looking for something for me. There's someone I know who wants to cosplay as a cat boy from---" She cut herself off, flushing. Best not to go into super-geek mode and start rambling off details of an otome game to a complete stranger. "Well, they were looking for something... like this." Lucia held up the cat headband.
Briefly turning her attention back to the displays, she gave them a once over before grabbing the other one she had been looking at. "I'm trying to decide between these!" she chirped. "Was there something you were looking for?"
She didn't really mean to glance down just then, but the sudden swish behind him caught her eye. And said eyes widened when she spotted the fox tail moving behind him. It didn't fit the rest of his costume---it stood out with a smooth coat of what looked like real fur. And although she had seen a lot of animatronic tails and ears today already, she hadn't really been this close to one. Her inner-geek was squealing.
...Would it.... be creepy to ask if she could touch it?
YES, her mind practically screamed at her. Get a hold of yourself! That's super creepy!
"Um, nice tail!" she exclaimed in attempt to cover up for her sudden interest in staring at it with awe. "I could mistake that for the real thing!"

Finn smiled warmly at Lucia while she went through her somewhat clutzy sequence of reactions to his greeting. It was really rather adorable actually, and the fox boy's mind was already going to how she might taste- the peppy ones often had rather sweet flesh, and bubbly energy usually expressed itself as very enjoyable squirms. Yum!
Fortunately he seemed to have plenty of time for these sorts of contemplations, and while she was focussed on retrieving the earband or taking in his own costume, his eyes could roam greedily over her body. Her robe obscured its shape a bit too much for him to really see what he was going to be getting his tongue around, but that was okay. It was a bit like looking at a present- part of the fun was the anticipation of unwrapping it!
"That's a shame," He said, when Lucia eventually managed to work her way to an explanation. "A fox knows a good rabbit when he sees one." He adopted a mock sage-like expression as he made that proclomation, then let it drop into a playful smile. "Though you also make a very nice... princess?" His eyes flicked up to look at what he was guessing was some sort of crown. The contrast with his own low-effort getup was stark.
"I was," he continued, about to move on to some sort of lie about being interested in a sheep-wool poncho or kangaroo-paw gloves or something, when he noticed that he had apparently been upstaged by his own tail. He trailed off, and gave it a proud little flick to better show it off.
"Why, thank you." He ran his hand along it from base to tip, giving it a little whip-like lash as his fingers passed over the final white fluffy strands. "Actually, you wouldn't be mistaken." The line of his smile curled up mischievously, and he watched her face, waiting for her to understand that. But before she got a chance to actually voice her opinion, he quickly added "Well, not entirely. The fur is real. Don't worry, nothing more inhumane than a hairbrush was used to get it."

Lucia was blissfully oblivious of what was running through his mind and the fact that he was looking her over at all. Getting lost in her own thoughts happened to the redhead quite often. It was something of a bad habit that had stuck with her since grade school. Even the convention details, which she should have looked over before attending, she had put aside in favor of getting lost wondering what a center full of animal-costumed guys would be like. She knew nothing of the dangers that this gathering posed to young women such as herself and was blindly dabbling in what she believed would be the first of many conventions for her to attend.
And meeting new people was certainly part of the experience.
She had never had herself likened to a rabbit before. The thought made her giggle as she tossed a section of her hair from over her shoulder with the back of her hand. "You do, huh?" she quipped lightly, a hint of a smile on her lips. Was this flirting? Was he flirting with her? Shoot! How did she flirt? Anime clubs weren't exactly the social crown on campus. "How about a princess bunny, then?"
Lame, lame, lame!
In some efforts to save face, she grabbed a bunny band from the display and shoved it down in front of her large hair ornament.
It probably looked ridiculous.
It definitely looked ridiculous.
She was more than happy to put the attention back on his cosplay fox tail, though the blush of embarrassment didn't fade from her cheeks. He seemed really proud of the craftsmanship---and she couldn't blame him. It really stood out next to the rest of his costume. "That's amazing..." she breathed as he divulged the origins of the materials. "It does look like a real fox tail. So fluffy..."
Lucia almost reached a hand out toward the reddish fur, but retracted it with a jolt when she realized what she was doing. Quickly, she clasped that hand within the other one, as if to hold it back from any other urges. "My name's Lucia!" she blurted abruptly. "And who might you be, Mr. Fox?"

Unlike Lucia, Finn harbored doubts about his ability to flirt. In his mind, it was all very simple: if he started at friendly small-talk, and then smoothly adjusted his conversational poise all the way to full-on girl-hunting mode, flirtatiousness would be somewhere in the middle. So his expression as she shoved on a pair of bunny-ears was more or less identical to the one he'd give to some fleeing prey who'd just tripped and fallen flat on her butt. Yes, that was lame, his incrementally raised eyebrows seemed to say, and that's adorable.
Although, he had to admit, there really was something appealing about the idea of a princess bunny. His tongue briefly snaked over his teeth at the idea.
Meanwhile, the tail continued to flick casually to and fro, as though it was trying to pretend it didn't know it was being talked about. Finn made no attempt to hide how much he enjoyed it being complimented. It really was his pride and joy, after all- the quintissential vulpine accessory, the emblem of everything foxy, bright and bushy, smooth and silky. And always there behind him, waving like a flag proclaiming how devious and dangerous he was.
Not that Lucia knew any of that, of course, though she did seem to be treating it as if it was electrified. He had no such misgivings about touching her, so before introducing himself, he reached out and gingerly pinched the tip of one of her rabbit ears between two fingers as if it were the real thing, lightly pulling the band a little way up her hair so that it sat more comfortably on her head.
"I'm Finn, your highness." He replied, flashing her a sly smile. "Though I rather like Mr. Fox, too."

At least he wasn't outright laughing at her, Lucia thought, her eyes darting around in indecision before they flicked upward and focused on his features again. From the look on his face, he clearly could have laughed if he wanted to.
Small mercies.
She at least hoped that her inner floundering wasn't showing on the outside too much. If she could hold her composure, even doing something silly or weird wouldn't reflect too poorly on her, would it? It was hard to say. The only thing she could really compare to was geeking out in campus clubs with other nerds. And while this should have been similar, given that they were both dressed up in costumes for this event, it somehow felt completely different.
But he seemed to be taking a shine to the comments about his tail, if nothing else. She was about to follow down that same path again when he reached up and tugged the ear of one part of the headband she'd haphazardly placed there. The words temporarily died in her throat as he adjusted it on her head.
It had been lop-sided in her haste to put it there, hadn't it? She flushed.
"Ah--th-thanks," she sputtered. Even with the teasing glint to it, he had a nice smile. "Finn, huh? Mr. Fox Finn? Finn the Fox? Foxy Finn?"
Wait, what was she even saying---
"Er!" The redhead stiffened visibly, waving one hand with a nervous grin. "Never mind! A pleasure to meet you, Finn!"
She was so out of character for Princess Yona at this point...
"You must like foxes, huh?" she continued, eager to put her fumbles behind her. Briefly, her gaze trailed down to his tail again, an eyebrow raising. "Can't help but wonder why you'd go for such a realistic tail with the rest of that outfit, though. Low budget?"

Actually, Finn seemed to rather like hearing his name various juxtapositions with "fox". Though he prided himself on slyness and subtlety, he didn't make any attempt to hide his love for all things foxy.
"Oh, everyone loves foxes." He threw the statement out casually, as if it were totally self-evident. "That's why they always win in fairytales, even when they're the bad guys. Sly scheming scoundrels, voracious villainous vulpines, nobody can resist. And nobody's safe around a fox. Especially not... a... bunny." The monster boy flashed her a wink so brief it was almost nonexistent, and gave one of her bunny ears another little tap. He had delivered that mini-monologue with such utter self-possession that an uncritical listener might not have noticed how strange and, well, cheesey it was.
He smirked a little at the follow-up question, half expecting her to suddenly decide that it was too forward and go into another blushing-and-fidgeting fit. "The tail's the important part, really." He said briskly, with a little dismissive wave of his hand. Apparently she wasn't going to get more of an explaination than that.
"And how about you, what's your favourite kind of monster?" He asked, emphasising the final word. "You dressed as a princess so- maybe a dragon? Or something even more... monstrous?" His teeth glinted as he grinned.

Ohhh, he was definitely flirting now. And it sounded as though he had plenty of experience and comfort with doing so, unlike herself. Lucia tried to rack her mind for a witty response, but all she could think of were lines from anime that would be so out of place that she might as well crawl into the floor before she actually said any of them. Why did it have to be like this!? Wasn't flirting supposed to be easy for girls to do?
Anime always made it look that way, anyway...
Blushing across the freckles on her face as he winked at her, she tried to adopt a look on her face that she hoped looked coy. "Is that so? You must not have met many smart bunnies, then. They win in fairytales a lot, too. Are you implying I'm not safe with you...?"
Lucia let the question hang open, the hint of a smile on the edge of her lips. With his swift dismissal about the tail, she decided to leave it be for the time being. It wasn't her business how much he spent making costumes or parts of costumes, anyway.
When questioned about her favorite kind of monster, though, she found herself taken a little off-guard. In truth, she never really stopped to think about it much. "Uh... well..." she mumbled unintelligibly. So much for being a smart bunny, she berated herself. "For the character I'm dressed as, I feel like I should say dragons. She's got four dragon boys! But for me, I guess I like... the less monstrous ones--like the ones that wear the ears and tails." Feeling bold, she reached up on her tip-toes to flick one of the ears on his hoodie.
Don't lose face, Luci. You can flirt! Just because you haven't done it before doesn't mean you can't!
However, even her inner mantra couldn't prevent her from looking obviously awkward with it.

Throughout Lucia's valient attempt to match his flirting, Finn favoured her with The Look. His eyes fixed on hers in a long, placid stare. It wasn't a stare that bored into her, more one that serenely declared that it didn't need to, that Finn already knew everything he needed to, that whatever thoughts and feelings were running through Lucia's mind were as open to him as if she were speaking them out loud. The Look had been honed over many years to a matter of muscle memory. In a situation like this, it could heat up the flirtatious tension until the air sizzled. And he was already looking forward to deploying it again later, once she knew his true intentions for her.
He had slightly bent his knees, the better to make eye contact, so the height difference between them was all the more emphasised. Even though it was only a foot, he really did feel like the big bad wolf when she got up on tip-toes to touch his fake fox ear. Beneath it, a real fox ear felt the flick's vibrations fwoomph softly through the fabric, and he resisted the urge to give it a twitch. Whether or not she knew it, Lucia's playful response had just escalated the arms race of teasing, and Finn knew exactly how to respond: overwhelming force.
"Less monstrous?" He made a show of contemplating that for a moment, like it was an idea that had never occurred to him. Then he flashed her a fiendish grin. "That's a matter of perspective. Try closing your eyes, and imagining it from a bunny's point of view." Actually she didn't need to close her eyes, because he defty stepped to her side, reached out and, if she let him, gently cupped his hand over them. He was totally unabashed about touching her face, and kept his hand there while he spoke, though he wouldn't stop her if she resisted or squirmed away.
"Think of it: you've had a comfortable enough life, despite its ups and downs. Only the faintest little pricklings at the edge of your consciousness have ever hinted that there might be anything beyond your cosy little world living in benign coexistence with family and friends. But today, you met a fox. He's bigger than you, he's stronger than you, he's faster than you, he has sharp claws, he has glinting teeth, and all of it's so he can get you. So you turned and ran, but now he's after you. You don't dare to look but you know he's gaining on you. There's no sympathy, no mercy, once he catches you, you're his, and all he wants in his wicked foxy heart is to gobble... you... up." Finn leaned a little closer- he was practically speaking right into her ear, though it was one of her bunny ears rather than a real one.
"So you run... and you run, and he gets closer... and closer. There's nowhere to hide, you can't hope to fight. He can smell your fear, it's making him drool. Closer... and closer... and then..." It was quite obvious that Finn was about to do something to playfully shock her, so he didn't. And then, a heartbeat after the moment passed, he did! His free hand swiped gently up her back, fingers splayed, until it reached the base of her neck and pulled back.
Nimbly, he stepped away, his face the picture of mischievous glee, eyes raised heavenwards in faux innocence.

Finn's look alone was three thousand light years ahead of Lucia's attempts at flirtatious glances or anything else. The way they flirted in the sorts of things that she watched and read was definitely not optimal to emulate in a situation like this---unless you really wanted to embarrass yourself. So the girl was at a loss for what to do when he bent down to fix that gaze upon her more directly. She wasn't used to being stared at and especially not so closely.
Imagining it from a bunny's point of view...? The words repeated in her head, but still perplexed the redhead no matter how much she rolled them over in her mind. And she had even been prepared to humor him by closing her eyes, but a gasp escaped her when his hand covered right over them, instead. She jerked slightly from the unexpected contact, but didn't pull away. His hand was warm and---thankfully---masked over the blush that had deepened into her cheeks.
It was odd imagining herself in the shoes of a rabbit, but the more he spoke, the more she felt compelled to follow the train of his words with images. The progression of the "story" was making her heart rate increase steadily and then more rapidly, almost as if she were running from a dangerous fox. She had unconsciously started to lean back, the heat of his voice making a shiver-like chill run up her spine.
Closer... and closer... and then...
Lucia braced herself, but Finn had abruptly stopped speaking. She blinked beneath the cover of his hand, waiting, breathless...
"YEEEEEEP!" the young woman squealed in sudden alarm when his fingers danced up her back, all the way to the nape of her neck.
Just like that, the hand covering her vision was removed and her eyes fluttered open, immediately noting the devious grin on his face, despite the way his eyes begged guiltlessness.
"Tha---That was---! That was mean!" Lucia pouted through a series of sputtered words, face as bright as her hair. Raising her hands, she planted them on either side of her face, as though that would help quell the blood that had rushed there. After a moment, she tossed him a chastising glance, and fixed her hands down on her hips over the silk of her princess robes. "You shouldn't scare girls like that! Naughty foxy!"

Lucia wasn't the only one that litle performance had had an effect on. Finn's own heart was drumming in his chest- he'd really riled himself up! He could feel that familiar tension in his muscles, that gnawing emptiness in his gut, that sharpening of his senses, as his body started to switch itself over into hunting mode. He wanted this cute, self-conscious, freckly, blushy morsel, now. He wanted to hear her scream, to see her adorable features twist into expressions of confusion, fear and horror. She already seemed to realise how outclassed she was in some sense, now he wanted her to know what a deadly position that was!
But hard as it was, all those things would have to wait. So as she calmed herself down, so did he, bare chest rising and falling slowly as he wore that mischievous smile of his. "Changed your mind about how monstrous us foxy boys can be?"
He stepped towards her again, making a little jerking motion with his shoulders as he moved as if he might just pounce her, but it was more a playful gesture than an attempt to really fool her. Instead he layed his hand gently and deliberately on her shoulder, in an affectionate way.
"Tell you what, to make it up to you, and for being such a perfect bunny, I'm going to buy you those ears." He flicked his eyes up in their direction in case she'd forgotten they were still there. "But in return, you've got to keep them on all day, okay?" Though he made it a question, he didn't actually sound like there was any real prospect of her disagreeing.

The redhead remained oblivious to any deeper effect that the situation might have had on Finn--after all, she was a little preoccupied with trying to get her own nerves to rearrange themselves into something manageable. He had really taken her off-guard and her heartbeat was still struggling to calm itself back down to normal speed. Was this what flirting was generally like...? The heat to her face almost made her feel a bit faint from it all.
Lucia had to blink several times after he spoke through a playfully devious grin, her mind still working to catch up after that little stunt. She let her hands fall from her hips, instead winding to cross over her front as she puffed her cheeks out. "Maybe," she finally responded. "Or maybe it's just you."
Unprepared for the sudden movement, she did jerk slightly as he stepped toward with the little lurch, but no more than a soft gasp crawled free from her lips this time. She was about to chastise him for teasing her further, but the words fell short when his hand pressed down lightly on one of her shoulders. And a fresh blush was soon to follow at his offer regarding the ears. She reached up to touch the headband with one hand.
The perfect bunny? That was so silly and yet... strangely flattering at the same time. "I... If you're sure?" she let the question hang open, shyly fingering the fuzzy tip of one. His ultimatum regarding the gift seemed a bit odd, but truth be told, she didn't really mind wearing them---especially if he thought they suited her.
Well, actually, there was one thing about it that nagged at her conscience. "Don't they look strange with my hair ornament?"
She supposed maybe she could remove the cosplay gear on top, as it was really starting to make her scalp hurt anyway, but she hadn't brought anything to store it in. "Rats," she muttered. "I didn't bring anything to put my costume parts in."

Finn was looking away, down towards his pocket (which, usefully, his onesie had), as Lucia brought up this conundrum, so he didn't make any attempt to hide the disinterest on his face. The 'rabbit' theme had been a fun little spur-of-the-moment thing, and a good justification for some predatory teasing. But really, he wasn't just a fox, he was a fox-boy, and his staple wasn't rabbits, it was ladies. He had added that condition about wearing the rabbit ears without really thinking about it, purely because he enjoyed ordering her around.
Actually, the real reason for all this business with buying the ears was in his pocket. He made a little show of fishing around in there as though what he wanted was buried under something else. Then, he started actually emptying it, first pulling out his phone and placing that on the table, then, on top of it, his ticket for the main event. He nonchalantly placed it face-up, positioning it where he hoped Lucia was most likely to look. This was the second part of his plan- his vulpine nature meant that of course he had to cheat in the main event, but to keep the hunt challenging enough to be fun, he would make sure Lucia was "cheating" too, by knowing that he was her predator.
With that in place, he finally retrieved the money that he'd been pretending to hunt for, and paid for the ears. While he was at it, he snuck a bunny tail off the table and paid for that too, doing his best not to let Lucia see it, if she was distracted.
"Oh, I don't think so." He answered Lucia's question at last, and without hesitation reached up to adjust the two ornaments. The ears were on a band, which he pulled a little further up her head, while making sure the crown-thing rested neatly on top of it. By the time he was done, the two actually worked quite well together: the crown did a good job of hiding the ears' band, and the band helped protect her scalp from the crown. "There. Rabbit royalty." He inclined his head forward in a little bow (as befitted the princess of the rabbits) and in a motion so fast Lucia might miss it, ran his tongue over his teeth (as befitted a scrumptious lady-meal).
One thing left to do. He reached up for her crown again as if to make another adjustment, moving his body close to hers. Then under the cover of that misdirection, his other hand came around behind her, and deftly attached the tail. It was also on a band, just like the ears, only sized for a waist instead of a head. He winked down at her, and gave his own tail a happy flick.

Lucia was still undecided about what to do with her cosplay gear when Finn started... digging through his pockets? Her hands dropped from fiddling with the large hair piece to watch him curiously. What was he looking for...?
She watched wordlessly as he unearthed a phone, a ticket, and...
Wait, was that---?
The redhead did a double-take back to the ticket, which was emblazened with a number she felt that she recognized. In fact, she was pretty sure that it was the same number she had been given on a sticker to put on her costume when she came in. And she had frowned at putting a number on her fine silk outfit, but nonetheless gingerly attached it to the sash that came diagonally down over her chest. A discreet glance down confirmed it---the number was the same. Finn's didn't look like a sticker, but maybe he just didn't put his on?
They could be in the same group for an event or the like later, she supposed. And that wasn't an unpleasant thought. It would be nice to know someone instead of being stuck with a collection of strangers. Though, she didn't mind meeting new people, either. She was a little excited by the prospect. The whole thing might be fun!
Amidst her inner-musings, she dimly realized that he had been digging for money to pay for the ears---and he was now readjusting them on top of her head with the hair ornament, which finally broke her from her reverie. Lucia blushed, brushing a few locks of hair back from over her shoulder. "Rabbit royalty, huh..." she reached up to touch both pieces. It definitely wouldn't have suited the character she was cosplaying, but it was harmless, nonetheless. And with the band beneath the constructed ornament, it sat a little more comfortably on her head. She smiled. "Thanks, Finn. It was sweet of you to treat me."
She offered a little bow in return, but her eyes widened in surprise when he leaned in toward her simultaneously to touch the now-hybrid hair piece once more. Her breath caught in her throat from the sudden closeness. "Is it... lop-sided?"
Thoroughly distracted, she took no really notice of the brief pressure behind her, nor the fact that she now wore a fluffy little bunny tail. The wink alone was enough to fluster her again, but with the little gesture to his own tail, she felt bold enough to ask now---to ask what she wanted to before. Her eyes flicked up to his, fingers hovering. "Do you think I could... touch the tail? Just to feel it?"
