Lilly had heard of the ball that opened up a little bit ago in the convention, so to her it was the perfect chance to open a little dress shop! It took some time but she found a old booth that no one took down yet, but it was bare bones, no advertising or merchandise remained. So she went to work quick after heading back hoke to get her dresses that she wished to sell and some other things. In just a single short hour with some stranger help, her little shop was up and running!
Now she was just sitting in a plastic simple chair, doodling as she waited for people to come. Her dresses and wings were hung up to be viewed with ease, while the small accessories were laid out on the table she was at. And that included eyes, claws, ears and teeth, all rather monstrous looking.

Zastech's feathers were a mess. Some were flattened, some were shooting straight up, and some were jutting off to angles that clashed with his sense of direction. He ran his talons through his feathers to sort them out. Hopefully no one saw his disheveled plumage.
The gryphon took careful, measured strides to restore his dignified persona as he searched for the next attraction to check out. Normally he'd run straight to the ball room, but his attitude to other monster men was soured for the day. He didn't want another power contest over trying to talk with people!
The majestic beast almost took a step past the ballroom until he spotted bracelets littered on her desk. Maybe he could get a souvenir he could mail to his parents. That way, they wouldn't think all of the monster men at the con were crazy if he got human merchandise.
He knelt down so he made eye contact with Lilly, but also so he wouldn't intimidate her with his stature. "Hello there, milady." He said to her. "I was hoping you could make something custom for me?"

Li!ly was deep into designing her next dress, so she didn't even notice the griffon man until she felt a shadow over her. But it didn't last long once he lowered himself. She perked up quickly with a soft smile, gazing though in shock at his costume.... Oh goodness, he looked so fluffy and majestic! Like a real creature! She didn't resister his question for a good few moments, before shaking her head and putting down her drawing kit.
"Oh, yes sir... What kind of custom item did you want? " She asked as professionally as she could, while she couldn't help herself but be gazing in awe at every detail, every feather, scale on his hand and even his beak. She adored griffons too so that made it even worse. Lilly took a deep breath though to try and focus on her customer's request.

After minutes of bumping through crowds and striding from attraction to attraction, Thitero found that his elegant outfit was better suited to the calm isolation of his dressing room than to the choked concourses of a bustling convention. Time and friction had tussled his fake-feather cape into a ruffled blur of mismatched colors, and his frequent, reflexive attempts to stretch his wings had torn his sleeves in several places. Most frustrating of all, the silk vest over his chest prevented him from properly preening his actual feathers, which itched unbearably as they grew more and more disheveled. Several trips to the restroom only cured his outfit temporarily, and he considered leaving the con entirely to return home and change.
On his way out, however, he spotted a sign that he should stay; it read “The Peacock Dressing”. The newly established booth bloomed with colorful fabric and fashionable accoutrements. Behind its desk sat a small, blonde woman surrounded by all manner of implements necessary for needlework. Surely she could repair or replace the disaster his outfit had become! Moreover, he was the only peacock he had seen so far at the convention; perhaps he would even receive special treatment.
Cutting through the crowd, he made a beeline for the booth, but as the people parted they revealed a terrifying sight: the gryphon who had orchestrated Thitero’s defeat at the picture booth was standing at the stall, speaking with the seamstress! First he ruined the harpy’s picture, now he intended to keep him wearing tatters!
Thitero’s first impulse was to charge forward and shout the unwelcome avian away, but a sudden realization held him back. Surely it was no coincidence he had encountered the same gryphon here. Clearly, this was some sort of trap. The gryphon knew that the peacock could not resist visiting a booth matching his needs and named after his own species, and so he lay here in wait, likely with his minions stationed nearby.
But Thitero was too smart for the gryphon. He faded back into the crowd and found a place from which he could observe the gryphon from a distance. Before long, the beast would tire of waiting and move elsewhere, and then…
That was when Thitero overheard the woman behind the counter repeat gryphon’s request. A custom item? Who knew how long that would take! Thitero’s feathers itched intolerably; he could not wait while the woman stitched together a garment that could fit that fat-beaked half-bird! Swiftly, Thitero shot through the crowd to intercept the poor seamstress before the gryphon could impose any unreasonable request upon her.
“Clothes!” he shouted. “I need better clothes. You have better clothes. Lots of them. I will give you money for the perfect clothes. Lots of money. It is urgent.”

Jackie smiled to herself as she spotted the seamstress booth and made a beeline for it. After all she desperately wanted to take pictures of the formal ball but her safari outfit definitely wouldn't cut it. Maybe if she was lucky she could get a fancy press outfit. She wasn't too into girly formal clothing and she definitely wanted to keep her camera as part of her outfit.
She could barely keep herself from laughing at the antics of the boy in the peacock outfit. It was definitely splendid on it's own to her eyes. She approached him, her shutter finger itching. "Well the guy in the griffon outfit did get here first, but perhaps I could take your picture while we wait?"

Zastech narrowed upon seeing the shimmering blue, lavendar, and white harpy. It's this imbecile again. If he could roll his eyes, he would. This was the second time the harpy tried forcing a conflict between them.
The gryphon didn't want that. What he wanted was a set of four wristbands so everyone in his family could have one. The gryphon shoved himself in front of Thitero to counter his attempt to foil his relaxation time.
"Wristbands, four." He blurted, constantly shifting his attention at Thitero and back at Lilly. Quick to deprive Thitero of his chance to describe his request, he dug his hand inside his suit and pulled out a pentagram made of twigs and bright blue stones. He couldn't afford to waste oxygen on describing a shape. He then finished blurting his request with words. "Make sure the bottom of the star points to the bottom of the bands. Also put a stripe of color near the bottom too."

Joselynn waddled through the convention in her steady pace, head jerking back and forth as her eyes quickly gazed over everything she saw. She didn't want to miss a thing, and that meant keeping up her trot and blowing over many of the booths. She could always come back later after all, but she was intent on running through the entire convention at least twice and probably more.
Of course, that didn't mean she couldn't stop if something piqued her interest. She gasped as she laid eyes on The Peacock Dressing. Most of the stores she had scene were geared towards the boys, which was understandable considering the theme of the con. Well, actually now that she thought about it wasn't she supposed to be being served? She waved the thought away as she waddled up towards the small crowd forming. This was the first booth she had scene that was run by a girl, and at least one of the outfits she was selling would have to fit her baby bump. Or at least, it would be open enough to drape around it.
She smiled as she looked over the wares, patiently waiting for the people in front of her to be done before she started asking around about stuff.

“P-picture!?” Thitero wheeled abruptly to face the camera-toting red-head. Quickly, he began to rearrange his clothing and correct his feathers, preparing for the worst. “No!” he begged, “Not now. I am falling apart! People cannot see me like this, it would be terrible, horrible!” Reaching out with his talon foot, he blocked the camera’s lens and attempted to push it and the woman away. “Silly woman. No pictures now,” thinking for a moment, he added. “Later, yes, come back later. First, I must repair myself. I need to talk to the…”
As he shooed at Jackie, Thitero looked back to the stall to find that the damnable gryphon had used this distraction to slip in between him and the seamstress. The harpy could not hear their conversation above the crowd’s jabbering, so he did not know what the gryphon had requested. He only knew that he had to stop it at any cost. Every moment he spent without the seamstress’s aid was a moment spent in constant fear that someone would snap a picture of him in such a disreputable state.
Reaching into his vest, he procured a white-leather wallet and leafed out six $100 dollar bills without bothering to count them. Maneuvering around the gryphon, he waved the green slips in front of Lilly’s face, saying, “Lots of money, see? Just like I said. You can have them if you help me first. I need your help more than him. It is urgent, remember? Besides, he probably would not pay you. Gryphons are all schemers. I know this; I have seen it. You will help me, yes, for all of this?”

Lilly couldn't believe it, before she knew it people were pouring in from everywhere! She started to panic some inside, but then she saw some ladies come in and the sight of them was relaxing, she wasn't alone with a room full of funny dressed men. First, she scowled at the second man that came in, trying to horn his way between her and the griffon guy who wanted something. The money flashing just annoyed her and she shook her head. "No, no bribes, look just step back for a second and let me take care of all of you in a orderly fashion, fairly, okay? And no costume-racism, something I didn't even know was a thing. " She said in a voice that was a firm as she could sound, which from a girl under five feet tall wasn't that firm. But she was the booth owner for crying out loud!
Lilly then took a breath and listened to the griffon to hear what he wanted, bracelets, she can do that. She nodded and took the materials. "Thank you sir, please step back while I take this eager customer's request. Then I can take care of the rest of you. Please though, be polite and respectable to each other, we are all human beings here. " She told them, though only if she truly knew. "You want my best clothes? Well most of what I have here are dresses, but my older friend did suggest I have some gentleman clothes, insisted on it actually, he's kind of persistent.... Anyway, is there a certain kind of clothing you wish to avoid? Also, what's your size? " She asked the previously impatient one.

“Suits?” Thitero asked. He had seen them often. Most human men, including most the ones he ones he saw from his rooftop home, wore the dapper black vestments constantly. Thitero did not envy them their pain. He had only worn a suit once, at the behest of his owner, and the discomfort was so great that he tore it to shreds in a matter of minutes as he desperately clawed at himself. The tight-fitting fabric tugged at his feathers, tangling them painfully and holding them out of place, and the constant rubbing dried the feathers of their preen oil, making them fray painfully even after the suit was removed. The sensation transcended itchiness; it was suffering. “No suits,” Thitero concluded quickly.
Walking around, he petted the fabric of a sea green dress displayed on the booth’s side. The light fabric could lie loosely and comfortably over his feathers, and the pleasant hue complimented his plumage. The short sleeves, too, wouldn't impede his wings when time came to unfold them. “This one,” he said, “This one will do. But…” he removed the dress without asking permission and pulled at the single split side seam, “This should part here,” he pointed to the back of the dress, “So it breaks around my tail feathers, like this, see?” Holding the dress up behind him, he dangled it over his folded bundle of tail feathers such that the fabric broke around it to either side. “Also, this,” he motioned around the bust, “This should go. There must be space to reach inside, like so,” the harpy demonstrated by reaching into his vest and combing at his chest feathers with his claw.
“This is easy? You can do this?” he asked, dumping the dress back on Lilly's table. "As for my size," he held his hands to either side of his chest and moved them out while taking care to keep them steady and the same distance apart. "I am this big."

Bek follows behind Joselynn, looking to all the world like the horrible love-child of a Pacific Rim-style kaiju and a human. His real face peeks from the shadows between the costume's jaws.
He turns slowly, making sure his massive tail doesn't obliterate anything, and looks behind him to see if Lynn followed as well.

Lynn slips around Bek to get a closer look at the booth.
"Looks pretty busy," she commented, "Although it looks like those two men already have good costumes."

Joselynn looked back towards Lynn and Bek as they came up behind her, a slight grimace on her face. "I think they're having an argument or something. Maybe we should come back later? Or... Eh, let's just look to see what's on display while we wait for all that to get sorted out." She said as she waddled over to look at the dresses and accessories on display. "Oooooh... These are pretty. Hey, I saw there was like a formal ball or something going on. They have a dress code though, so maybe you and me can get something nice to wear for that?" She said as she looked towards Lynn. "Though... I don't think they have anything in your size." She says with a frown as she looks back to Bek. "I'm sure there's gotta be a men's outfit booth around here somewhere. Though... I'm not sure if they have anything that will fit me either." She grimaced again as she looked down at her prominent middle and sighed.

"A few alterations shouldn't be ruinously expensive," says Bek. "I'll make you a deal - you pay for your clothes, and I'll pay however much it costs for them to let it out for you." What else is he gonna spend his money on?

"Ah, I couldn't ask you to spend cash on me! We barely just met!" Joselynn replied, looking a tad flustered at the offer. "I mean, thanks but clothes can be so expensive and I mean..." She frowned as she wrestled with the idea. She did need to save money... "I guess... The convention is about girls getting served..." She bites her lip as the temptation for a pretty outfit is just too much. "I suppose it wouldn't be that much to get a small tweak done..." She frowned again as she turned away to look at the dress again. She hadn't realized it, but riding about on Bek's tail earlier had cause her dress to ride up between her cheeks and the fabric to cling tightly to the wide child birthing hips she was sporting.
