Since this is a celebration of monsters boys... let's talk monster boys! Do you have a favorite monster boy? Either type or specific character. For me, personally, I love monster boys that are more on the monstrous side. Demis that just have ears and tails, or fangs and a bit of scale are fine (sometimes downright sexy~) but I love when a monster boy has a whole lot of monster. The lower half is almost always what does it for me. Harpyboys who are totally talons and feathers below the belly. Merboys whose skin turns to the scales before you get past their chest. Nagas that have hips that go on for about fifty feet. If it extends to their arms too, that's the good stuff. The more of the monster they show while still keeping that human face and human body, the better! Reptiles or monster boys with reptile qualities probably top my charts. Dragon boys, lizard boys, snake boys, frog boys, sooooo many options. All with big, fangy, drooly maws. :3 What do you folks think? Got a favorite monster boy?

Cat boys and nagas are my favorites honestly. :'D I just really enjoy that playfulness they both can have towards people. >u>

I enjoy ones that are mostly human in appearance, but not the popular choices like vampires, nekos and such. Also on the older side, not that thrilled about boys as I am more for men, fully mature and strong, which strikes a little fear into any prey like onlooker. Also a little taller then most people, but not too tall where it's obvious it's not normal is also fun, keeps it up in the air in a way whether he's human or not.

Monster men here more than monster boys. More specifically, ones that have specifically dragon-like features. Scales, ornate tails, and horns usually do the trick for me. Wings are a bit iffy for some reason. I haven't figured out why lizard boys don't exactly strike it for me.
I guess maybe it's because I can stare at literally any part of such a predator and go, "Oh, I know I'm going to end up contributing to that." Where that could be horns, tail, the gut, etc. So many parts to choose from. Bonus points of they're required to eat like a snake to live.
Now, if we're talking about personality wise, I do love a good, dark vigilante. By dark, I mean willing to take actions most would deem extreme. It's a perfect intersection of the lighter preds and the darker preds I like. Absolutely makes me weak in the knees. They're unfortunately rare, so I just go with rolling my own preds to fit the personality criteria.

I would have a hard time choosing an absolute favorite, honestly. There are so many that I enjoy! (And I keep getting introduced to new kinds, such as when someone mentioned a buck-demi, and now I kind of dig the idea of a buck-demi pred with big antlers on his head.)
I suppose in narrowing it down, I definitely have a thing for harpy boys, complete with wings and talons. I have always found them really alluring.
Other honorable mention favorites: Mermen, wolf boys, fox boys, cat boys, centaurs.

I like nice and gentle preds who care about their prey, but they don't take no for a answer still. If he wants you in his belly then that's probably where you're headed. The gentle part may feel overdone to some but I still adore it and I personally see this type of personality as one of the more rare ones, which like the poster above me said, I prefer to just play my ideal pred and not need to worry about finding him from someone else.

Wretched thing finally let me post. Anyway...
I'll second/third/fourth the strong, strong preference for monster men as opposed to monster boys, just because I am profoundly and totally uncomfortable with anything remotely near underage. But apart from that, I tend to prefer ones that are 50% (or more) recognizably not-human. All the 'taurs, nagas, mermaids, et cetera I go pretty wild for. As for personality... well, that rather depends on whether I'm the monster boy or not, doesn't it? XD I prefer being the prey to one than being one, and honestly seeing how... unbalanced things are here so far has me rethinking if I want to put in a pred at all. But I like cuddling and charming preds.

I just want to note that by calling them "monster boys", I essentially mean monster men. It's just that the more common term has been "monster boys", so I just keep calling them that. I am definitely not into underage preds. lol Kind of the same way that girl does not always mean an underage one, but can be used just in terms of determining gender.

Yeah, I know, it's the same with monster girls, but it just often needs to be reiterated. At least in my mind.

I definitely understand what you mean Sansuki. I think most of us are trying to keep underaged out of here. (I think I put a rule in character creation for no under 18 aged characters)

I have a definite weakness for the "demi means half" sorts. Centaurs, nagas, and merfolk primarily. I'll also confess to preferring female versions in most cases, but preference isn't exclusive, and this is a fun concept to explore anyway. A decent part of that preference is that all of the above are capable of hiding away a wiggling, squirming meal without actually appearing any different on their human half.

Yeah, just to clarify I use "monster boy" to mean "monster men." Not big on the underage thing. >_< I am excited to see new or unusual monster boys. Chammy's buck-boy is a new one. Rare or odd monsters are fun too (like greasels, shameless self-promotion ). Deep sea fish boys are ones I'd like to see more of. Angler fish men, eel men, even jellyfish guys. All lights and sliminess and big, gulping maws.

Anything that's mostly humanoid; nagas, demons, mermen, ect. Personality-wise I love teasing, arrogant ones.

I can't really pin a favorite. I love the classics but I also love the unique and very weird ones! For me to like a monster boy, the face has to be distinctly human, then the body, skin tone, and whatever accessories can virtually be anything in theory. That said, craggy, rough, and anything not really "huggable" in a sense rank lower on my visual scale.
As for named creatures, centaurs are lower on my list, because I can barely draw horses. I love demis, with the ears and tail, especially foxes and bunnies~! Mammals rank high on my list, then after that reptiles and merfolk~! Demons and dragons are also a major love of mine, incubi being the default but for em but there's so many possibilities with demons and dragons that I adore and along that lines, I also enjoy chimeras and demons and dragons are super easy to make "hybridized creatures" so to speak. Insectoid ones, slime ones, and yokai types are great by me as well, along with fairies and pixie types. I think basically covered my interests~!
And then I forgot I also like vampires, especially if they're fine with actually eating their victims as well~ I have very broad interests ;w;

Centaur is definitely my favorite type of monster (as far as traditional monsters go), but I'm also a big fan of shapeshiftery kind of monsters like Alucard from Hellsing or Samson from Skullgirls.
