Cerisa huffed under her breath, feeling another stab of irritation - and very rational one, thank you very much - rush through her as she quickly made her way toward the back wall of the convention, face set into a tight frown and dark, reddish-brown hair fanning out behind her with the swiftness of her movement. Her blue jeans hung on her hips and flared out over her worn white sneakers as she stomped off, a backpack hanging off of her light blue t-shirt that featured a little animal character wearing a headset. A black sketch book was tucked under her right arm.
Just how pompous were some of these men? She was so annoyed! Could they not see past their own noses due to some self-imposed idea of ridiculous superiority? What a bunch of arrogant jerks!
It had started innocently enough. She had set off to the side to quietly sketch for awhile and had been approached by a young man in a brilliant wolf costume with animatronic movement for the ears and tail. He asked if she would do a sketch of him. Cerisa had tried, as politely as she could, to refuse, while implying that she wanted to be left alone. But mister Big Bad goes and takes offense immediately, saying that she should be honored to sketch someone like him and furthermore that she should do it for free. He even bared his teeth at her like some kind of animal after she put her foot down more strongly and excused herself from his presence!
What the hell?
Still fuming from the lack of respect and the jerk-wolf-boy's attitude, she plopped herself down at the back wall and sighed. She should not have come here at all. She hated crowds. So what if they wore cool costumes and a lot of people seemed to be having fun? She wasn't going to gush over them like they were amazing or something and flatter them more than they were flattering themselves already. They were people with dorky hobbies, just like her and countless others.
Pulling her backpack off, she quickly stuffed her sketchbook inside of it and instead unearthed her portable gaming system--a 3DS--popped a set of headphones on her ears, and threw herself into the virtual world of Fantasy Life.
Maybe this would up her mood at least a little, she hoped.
