Ever the show man, Nathan turned the tumble into a somersault while casting a glamour, giving the appearance that his costume had really burst into a fiery explosion. Under the cover of the distraction, he shifted back to his human appearance with his outdoors outfit. However this time he had a what appeared to be a cloak of phoenix feathers on his back. He stood among the "ashes" of his costume and bowed again. "Thank you all for watching. And a special thank you to our volunteer from the audience. A big round of applause everybody."
He grinned and clapped, along with a large portion of the crowd. _______________________________________________________________
Janet rushed towards the booth, eager to get back to her boyfriends booth by the food court. However she arrived just as someone in a peacock costume offered to buy Everything.
A look of horror struck her face and she forced her way through the crowd, apologizing all the way. "Oh you can't do that sir. Me and my boyfriend already have a standing transaction with him. We have to finish that before you buy everything else. Also perhaps you'd like a wooden pendant? I think I saw a peacock one at our booth."

Does Thitero think he can buy all Monty's product? He is mistaken.
"I don't think so, peacock. Put away that cash and be a good sport. You can buy a shiny for your sweetie if you wish, but you don't get to just clean me out like that, no matter how much money you have."
He turns his gaze to Janet. "Ah! Good to see you! I believe you wanted something in silver? Feel free to look until you find something you want."
He replaces his hawk-faced wooden mask, and turns back to the lady Josuna in his grasp. "My apologies if I got a bit too intense back there."

The poor girl was still having trouble taking in everything that was happening. She allowed Monty to take her hand simply because she was still a tad too bewildered to make a clean getaway. And much to polite to just... Leave. Okay, that wasn't true. She could run off right now. And as Monty and the others looked over her a chill ran up her spine as if her instincts were telling her to run. And then that fat stack of cash suddenly flashed about and her jaw dropped. He was loaded. And then somebody was on fire? This had to be some kind of fever dream.
"Please! Just... You all don't need to fight for my attention like this! It's flattering but a girl can only take so much." She said in exasperation as she fought back the urge to start gold digging. She let out a long drawn out sigh as she tried to calm herself.
She turned back to Monty and looked down in her hand still in his grasp. "I-It's fine. I was just caught off guard. I haven't been to a convention in a while and I forgot how much weirdness goes on." She said as she tried to grin. "You all have very nice costumes though. Very lovely birds. Kinda like you're all a flock of legendary creatures." She said as she started to relax a bit.
She turned to look over at Thitero and Nathan. "You're all so colorful. I'm jealous. I wish I had as nice an outfit as one of those."

Scowling, Thitero stuffed the money back into his pocket. Stupid person, he thought, of course he could afford the stall. It was so small; he owned things much bigger than that. Still, if the idiot didn’t like money, then there was nothing Thitero could do about it.
Though Josuna directed her compliment to multiple birds, Thitero only heard it as it applied to him. Let the oaf keep his shinies then, he thought. At least the skimpy stormhawk could never match Thitero’s sense of fashion.
Momentarily distracted by the woman’s modest compliment, Thitero almost forgot his original reason for offering to buy the stall in the first place: the rules were in danger. Any second the stormhawk might try to eat the woman before they main event was called; he had suggested as much in his singing. Though thwarted in his attempt to buy away Josuna’s interest, Thitero had not yet given up his efforts to save her! For now. From someone who probably wasn’t going to eat her anyway.
Thitero began thinking of a plan. He then quickly realized that thinking was hard, so he tried talking instead. “You, human, Josuna, you say you want pretty clothes?” He asked, grabbing her by the other arm. “Follow me, then. I am the best at pretty clothes. You can tell just by looking. I will buy you pretty clothes. Much better than the silly bits of metal here, yes?”
